Biggest Winner 22 Weight Loss Challenge

weight loss langley

We’ve been running the 12 week weight loss challenge known as The Biggest Winner for 13 years now.

With the guidance, structure and accountability from the BEFIT team, our focus is on applying nutrition, training, and weight loss principles consistently for 12 weeks amongst life’s ever-changing priorities and challenges, in a manner that these habits stick well past the day the winners are announced.

Because life is not being in a closed environment where you only focus on weight loss like some tv shows that sound kinda similar to The Biggest Winner….

It’s losing weight while living and it’s:

  • Taking care of your kids when they’re sick and still showing up for a workout.
  • Staying late at work and still eating healthy.
  • Being aware of your actions through long weekends, birthdays, and everything else in your life, balancing social outings on the weekend and earning your carbs when you need them.

As much as this is a weight loss challenge that started with losing the most weight in 12 weeks and where the “winners” earn $500, we remind all of our participants that focusing on building sustainable healthy habits for the long term is most important.

And it is not always what we expect it to be…

BECAUSE LIFE IS HARD.

Our mission is to foster a seamless integration of a healthy lifestyle into everyday living. We believe in striking a harmonious balance—enjoying life’s moments while steadily progressing towards our fat loss and fitness objectives.

And with this said, here is how our participants did:

Total participants – 69
Total weight lost – 763.2lbs
Average weight lost per participant – 11.1lbs/person

Keith completed 45 workouts in 12 weeks, averaging 3.8 workouts/week comprised entirely of SWEAT.

Here’s a few words from Keith:
“I want to start by saying I have never been a gym guy but I’ve been a member of BEFIT for over 6 years! I am still excited about the daily workouts and look forward to what’s new for next month. The difference with BEFIT is that all you need to do is show up! Everything else is laid out to ensure your success. The work outs, the trainers, and Josh always encouraging you to do your best. The trainers challenge you but also modify the workouts to meet your fitness level. The members are great, everyone is very friendly and supportive. This gym is the most inclusive I have ever attended. No matter your size, fitness level or age, everyone is welcoming and supportive. The weight loss challenge was the extra motivation I needed to lose those extra pounds. A simple no frills plan, eat clean and healthy. Low and behold it works! During the challenge I was on vacation for three weeks but still able to maintain healthy eating habits. Life does not stop but adopting healthy eating and exercise habits allowed me to maintain and get back on track quickly. Thanks Josh and to all the trainers for all your support, especially Joe, who also keeps us entertained.”

Chidinma completed 46 workouts in 12 weeks, averaging 3.8 workouts/week comprised entirely of SWEAT.

Here’s a few words from Chidinma:
“I would like to thank the trainers at Befit for their support and encouragement. I wouldn’t have been able to succeed without their help. When I came to Befit my goal was to loose weight, then Josh told me about the weight loss challenge. I entered and followed all their instructions. The greatest challenge was reducing my carbohydrates intake like rice. I also learned that most fruits have lots of carbs. These two have been my major foods for years. I learned of when best to eat them and followed the workouts regime in the gym. Thanks guys for helping me to come this far in my weight loss journey. You guys are amazing and the best. I couldn’t have done it without your help and support.”

These individuals all lost at least 10% in 12 weeks.

Stephanie completed 70 workouts in 12 weeks, averaging 5.8 workouts per week comprised entirely of LVFIT.

Closing thoughts on The Biggest Winner 22 weight loss challenge

Traditionally, the average attendance of all participants who achieve the 10% weight loss goal is around 4x/week.

This was no different in this challenge as the average attendance of all the individuals who achieved at least 10% weight loss was 4.2 workouts/week.

We saw 23% of all participants with 10% weight loss with a few in the 9% range as well just narrowly missing the 10% weight loss target.

There was also quite a few individuals with lower attendance than expected who achieved the 10% mark which goes to show you if you have a weight loss goal, you can move the needle with 3 days/week training and good nutrition.

As always it’s up to you how you want to tackle it.
What’s going to keep you the most consistent for the long term?
Is it SWEAT?
Is it STRENGTH?
Is it LVFIT?
Or is it a combination?

THEN DO THAT!

We’ll be here to support you.

Committed to your success,
Josh, Karen, Joe, Chantal, Grace, and Spencer
The BEFIT team

We’ll see you for the next weight loss challenge in the fall!
