The BE Movement came out in full force this weekend in support of The Langley Christmas Bureau. A group of 74 strong took on this year’s annual bootcamp for a cause supporting local families in need this holiday season.
Over $1680 dollars was raised on behalf of the efforts of the members of The Bootcamp Effect, their family, and friends, in a beautiful celebration of movement for health and all that is the giving spirit of The Christmas season.
It’s amazing the way you guys rally like this. It’s amazing I can be apart of this with you.
Thank you.
Thank you for continually defining The Bootcamp Effect. A place that changes lives through a community of positive individuals dedicated to health and fitness.
As always, the energy of the gym was electric. As 8 teams vied for the title of Charity Bootcamp Champions in a challenging workout for all ages and abilities.
and now an impromptu song about it (kinda)…
There was…
sledding,
and planking,
and slamming,
and rowing…
situps and trxing, burpees, and pushing…
But what youuuu will recall,
Was the greatest bootcamp group picture of all…
And now for all you competitive folk, here are the totals from the workout:
Notes:
1st place received 1 point in an exercise
8th place received 8 points
Teams were scored on 10 people per team
Team with lowest points wins
Team #1 had 11 members – their lowest score for each exercise did not count
Team #3 had 9 members – their average per person was added as the 10th score
Team #6 had 5 members – their team total was doubled on all exercises except rower
All proceeds from the charity bootcamp will go towards buying food and presents for a family in need this Christmas, with the remainder of the funds being donated to the Langley Christmas Bureau to disperse as they see fit. The Langley Christmas Bureau is a completely volunteer based charity supporting Langley families in need during the holiday season.
